Today we’d like to introduce you to Katty Fuentes.
Katty, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In transcendental moments of my life, I have always felt that I am guided by “signs”, sometimes they are so clear that I can not ignore them, and some others so subtle that I have to really pay attention. Thanks to these signs, I have been able to achieve unimaginable goals in my life, such as becoming Miss Mexico and represent my country in Miss Universe 1998, recently, I had the privilege to host a cooking show on TV, write a book, become a yoga teacher and sound therapy facilitator!!
Thanks to life’s turns and my divine “signs” I’ve reached the place where I am today; Real Estate!!
In Real Estate, I have been able to apply everything I have learned throughout my life, always from the most important base point which is to serve and connect with other human beings, they give me the opportunity to be their assistant and helper in the beautiful and some times challenging process of finding their perfect home. When I look for houses, I’m always aware that no matter the price, the size, the style this place will become extremely important for them, in there, they will have the opportunity to nurture their family and create stronger bonds with friends… and with this awareness, I take my job very seriously!
I am in love with my profession and I am certain that I have landed in my “forever home.”
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Reaching your dreams is never easy, I have gone through many stages in my life where I am in my “comfort zone” and that is where one begins to suffer the most. The discomfort of stagnation!! Suddenly, everything shutters become bumpy and at times painful. In those moments, you do not have many options but to move, to wake up and dream again with something bigger, to gather energy and to keep going.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I can humbly say that I have so many, but becoming a Real Estate agent is at the top of my list right now. It took determination and perseverance. I was going through a very difficult time in my life but my dreams were bigger than any obstacle… and now, I’m living the life I once dreamed about thanks to my hard work.
