Meet Kaysha Wilson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaysha Wilson.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was a freshman in college try to find a quick job and came across Ulta. Mind you I didn’t know what it was I wasn’t really into skin care or beauty at the time. After I started working there and getting to know the store and coworkers, I started doing my own research about the beauty industry and aesthetics. after teaching myself and hours in front of the mirror doing makeup I started to freelance as a make-up artist and in 2016 I went to Paul Mitchell to further my career in the beauty industry as well as aesthetics.

Please tell us about your art.
I am a make-up artist and Aesthetician. The message that I want my clientele to understand is that not only do I love all things beauty, but I want to build confidence and to let them know that they’re beautiful with or without make up. I wanted to be an atmosphere to where is almost therapeutic, because sometimes women need a boost of self-confidence or they just want to talk and I want to be that one that they can come to and feel free.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I tend to view success incrementally. As someone who is invigorated by new, complex challenges, I never want to find myself in a situation where I feel like there is nothing left to learn or achieve.
