Meet Keanna Jones of Keke Kutz in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keanna Jones.

Keanna, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m originally from Fort Worth Texas. I was raised around stylists cause my grandmother and aunts are licensed, cosmetologists. So it’s in my blood but never noticed it was my passion until I decided to go into barber school in 2018. Being in a barber school is what led to the person I am today.

When my instructors say it’s the foundation they wasn’t lying. I Won two competitions within the first year of school. I still can’t believe I accomplished it, but I’m blessed. I am now licensed barber serving the community one haircut at a time.

Has it been a smooth road?
I can honestly say it wasn’t. I was going through a little depression stage where I didn’t know my purpose was. I was tired of asking my parents for money and not being able to pay my bills cause my job wasn’t paying me enough. So I tried going to the Air Force but I couldn’t pass the Asvab, so I was stuck. Didn’t know what to do with my life. Thankfully God had other plans for me. I just had to stay patient and seek him. Look at me now doing something I love doing every day.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I specialize in grooming my clients. I’m a very detailed barber I try to stand out by doing the little things instead of rushing the process. Most barbers like to get people in and out well I’m not that type of barber. I take my time making sure you getting that Keke Kutz experience. I do steam facials, hot towel shaves, beard treatments, and also even add enhancements to the people who need that service or even want it.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I would definitely recommend it. Long as you put the grind in you’ll see results just stay consistent.
