Meet Keisha Youngblood of Mckinney/Princeton Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keisha Youngblood.

Hi Keisha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my fashion journey back in 2011. I started design school and had to take a break to have my baby girl. I was unable to return to school due to finances, which lead me to continue my journey self taught (which has had it up and down challenges on your confidence) but I am truly proud of where I am today. I did my first runway show in 2017 and over the next two years God allow my career to take notice I think more than I was ready for. I did Austin Fashion week three times, NYFW twice, then London and Paris fashion week.

After this I came home and took a break as people don’t understand how much we as designers spend to establish ourselves and don’t often have much clientele come from runway shows if you don’t have the knowledge on how to market yourself or the knowledge of the business side of e-commerce. I took a break to do a deeper dive in understand what my strategy truly needed to be to become a global brand. Due to some challenges our world faced, we had Covid, I was also dealing with my husband being incarcerated and raising our daughter, getting divorced and remarried to the same guy……. LOL, having twins and now navigating my new normal of life. Here we are in 2025 and I know it is time to return and complete this purpose and dream God gave me. SO I am currently working on a new collection that I will debut at Runway 817 Fashion show February 6, 2026. This is the season to walk without any fear, trust what God has put in me and Persevere!!!!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a high fashion vintage baby designer with some edge that loves to tell a story through fashion. I specialize in couture but I love turning these ideas into more ready to wear concepts. I also am a person that loves to dress very simple some days and other days I love to turn it up!!!

I am know for my fabric choices. I am very picky and the fabrics mean everything to me. I take my time with my fabric choices. Everything with me is always intentional!

I am most proud of what I have accomplished so far knowing I didn’t not come this far the traditional way.

I think it is my story telling that sets me apart. It drives every aspect of every part of the piece, a show, the collection. We pick the accessories, the shows it all has to be cohesive.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Staying humble, being confident in you choices, while treating people as you want to be treated. Being trustworthy and people knowing they can count on you to deliver.

Also standing in what you believe in when it comes to your brand, not compromising what you know is for your brand.
