Today we’d like to introduce you to Kesha Newman.
Hi Kesha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew a passion for podcasting after being a radio host at the After Party Radio Station in Dallas Tx. I loved being in a position that allowed me to connect with others, and work with local artists, producers, and DJs. It’s a wonderful feeling when you know you’re connected with your city. From there I started my very own virtual podcasting platform. I interviewed people that had a passion for podcasting, networking, and helping others. I named my podcast platform Power. I onboard all of my Host, and teach them how to run their own shows. I love what I do.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing in life is really smooth, to be honest, lol. However, I really can’t complain. In this type of business, you have to ensure that you are working with like-minded people that understand your passion and respect your vision. Consistency is the key. I lost a few people along this journey. It was all out of love though. Some of those people just had other things they had other visions for, and I was totally understanding and respectful of that. Which it caused us to part ways, but I had to keep moving.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Podcasting. I onboard people to my platform that have a desire for podcasting, and teach them the ropes of hosting their own podcast. I’m currently seeking other future podcast host to join my platform.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Big shout out to The BlackMrkt Movement. I learned so much from working with that movement. it pushed me and gave me the courage and confidence to stand firm on the things I believe in and to realize how my contributions actually helped the city. Also, a big shout out to my team that’s currently rocking with me.
