Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Seok.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I came here from South Korea which is well known for solar and energy conservation. I came to find out there are not a lot of people are educated about solar. So I became a solar ambassador to help people understand how important and beneficial to go solar.
I saw lack of customer support in my previous company I worked for. So I decided to start my own company so I can fulfill the discrepancy.
Because of our quality installation, we are well known in Arlington and Fort Worth.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been very rough to be a business owner as a foreigner. Even though America is diversified. There are lots of discrimination just because of my accent and appearance.
But most of the time, people are very nice and willing to listen to what I have to say.
I’ve been trying to give my customers the best prices in the market. And sometimes, I would lose profit.

Kosmos Solar is full of integrity, honesty, and professionalism. We are specialized in solar pv installation. Myself and my team have over 3 years of solar design, analysis, sales and install.
I’m very proud of my install team. They are my family who treat our business like theirs. They never disrespect the customers or their house. Going solar is to save money, conserve environment and increase the value of their home. We care about their life time investment.
We are NABCEP certified and fully licensed. I was also very shocked because a lot of solar company are not licensed. We know what we’re doing and you are safe with us.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
In Korea, we have a “planting trees” day. It’s April 5th. I remember I got all excited when the day came. My whole family went out to my grandpa’s property and planted trees every year. Such a great time.
