Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Shaw.
Kiara, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always wanted to own my own business; I just didn’t know when that was going to happen. I literally breathe everything business day in and day out. I’m either reading articles on Linkedin, dissecting business’s customer service practices or their operations trying to figure out how they can improve or do better.
I’ve been in the administrative field for over six years supporting different executives, managers, and directors. While working in the administrative field, you see how businesses operate and structure their corporate culture. I obtained my MBA degree in 2014 from Texas A&M University-Commerce and my bachelors in Finance and Real Estate from Angelo State University in 2012. I pursued my MBA degree to acquire more knowledge about businesses and how they function.
In 2016 the idea of Kiara’s Consulting firm came to fruition one day as I was driving home from work. God spoke to me and said, “Kiara start that business.” God gave me the ideas, knowledge, drive, and dedication I needed to get going, but I didn’t listen. It wasn’t until February of 2017 when I finally decided to put my ideas to work. Initially, I did some pro bono consulting work for a few of my friends.
A few months later, I obtained my first client, who just happened to be a co-worker that wanted to support me. One day I got to work and the next thing I knew I created my mission, vision, values, a company brochure, and business cards. The very next day I created my website. Looking back at Kiara’s Consulting Firm two years from its origination date, I can truly say we’ve come a long way, and we’re constantly improving.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Some of the struggles along the way were really support.

Kiara’s Consulting Firm is in the business consulting industry. We were built to help businesses around the nation achieve success. We pride ourselves on being able to help make the lives of business owners less stressful and helping aspiring business owners start their business.
We offer business consulting, a start-up kit package, an administrative support package, and an operations package. We also have a marketing/admin package for Real Estate Agents. Our packages are tailored to suit the needs of each business owner. We help with starting businesses from the ground up, creating business plans, providing administrative support, and analyzing business operations.
What sets Kiara’s Consulting Firm apart from other businesses is that I genuinely care about all businesses succeeding and being able to provide my expert opinion, assistance, and observation to help each business reach their full potential.
If I could stay in business working for free, I would, that’s just how devoted I am to helping people bring their dreams of successfully running their own business to fruition and helping them along the way to keep their business successful.
