Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystle Thomas.
Krystle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started out with boudoir as a wedding photographer. I had a bride that was interested in gifting a sexy album to her soon to be husband. From there it grew from word of mouth.
My passion for boudoir sprouted from the amazing reactions of women when they saw just how gorgeous they truly are. I thought to myself that every woman needs to feel this way and have this experience at least once in their lifetime.
From there, it became my mission to spread self-love through boudoir.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never a smooth road with boudoir. Since it is such an intimate type of photography, I am always faced with those that ridicule the profession or those who are just unsure. So it is my job to educate and inform those as to what “boudoir” is and what it entails.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a professional Boudoir & Glamour Photographer. I specialize in making women feel and look there very best in a glamorous or sexy yet classy way. Depending on their package, each client gets an amazing experience that starts with hair and makeup application and ends with amazing products to gift or display. I am proud of how amazing each and every women feels by the end of her photo shoot. I feel my personality sets me apart. Anyone can be a boudoir photographer, but no one can be “Krystle.” ;P
What were you like growing up?
I was a very shy child and teen. I struggled growing up, with the way I looked so much. I was teased about everything with my appearance so much till I never wanted to stand out. I never wanted to show if I thought I was looking cute in an outfit or new hair do, in fear of being laughed at.
From childhood to becoming a teen, all those feelings just carried over. As a teen, I wasn’t teased, but it was already too late. The mindset of your not cute etc. was already built into me. I started hating the way I looked, my lips, my teeth, my hair, and my body. It hindered me for years.
