Hi Kseniia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We launched our business in 2015 in Moscow, Russia, together with my husband Aleksey Chursin, with a focus on experiential marketing and communications, serving major Russian and international corporations through STUDIO 2112 Experiential Marketing & Brand Communications Services. Our business includes multiple divisions, each dedicated to enhancing brand recognition and engagement. These services encompass event production, design development, creative strategy, PR, and storytelling. Through these offerings, we aim to help corporations maintain a strong brand image and reputation among key audiences, including stakeholders, investors, clients, and employees.
One of our unique and equally important divisions is STUDIO CATERING, which provides high-end catering services. This addition sets us apart from other agencies, as we operate as a holding company with a commitment to excellence across all our services. Today, our presence spans California, with our headquarters based in Los Angeles; Texas, in Dallas; and Moscow, Russia. Our event production and design services are utilized by corporations worldwide. We’re honored to work with some of the most prestigious global brands, including Porsche, PepsiCo, Weir Minerals, Mercedes-Benz, Disney, Bosch, Kärcher, and Silicon Valley startups.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has not been easy. Like all businesses, we have faced numerous challenges – such as staffing issues, financial gaps, growth crises, the pandemic, and several financial crises in Russia. We still encounter challenges today, and that’s normal. Owning a business is never easy, it’s a constant challenge, especially when many situations are beyond your control. I’m not sure how, but we’ve managed to navigate through them for almost 10 years now. I believe it’s unwavering faith in our business. It’s more than just work, it’s a way of life. You can’t live without it – no matter what happens around you, you always find a way out of situations and keep moving forward.

At STUDIO 2112, an Experiential Marketing & Brand Communication Agency, we specialize in creating immersive brand experiences, event production, impactful brand design, and professional communication strategies. We help brands achieve their goals through events, experiential marketing, PR, design, and high-end catering services provided by STUDIO CATERING. We operate exclusively in the B2B market, focusing on business-to-business relationships and crafting unforgettable moments that connect brands with their audiences.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Oh yes, the Covid-19 crisis was such a big lesson for us that it ultimately led to our relocation to the USA. During the pandemic, we realized we could no longer be limited to the Moscow market. It became clear that this market was too small for growth, especially in times of crises like Covid. Our field is all about communication, and we were among the first to be impacted during the pandemic. All events and live interactions between people, as we know, were prohibited. This was completely at odds with our ambitions – we’ve always aimed for more and didn’t want to be so dependent on circumstances.
We quickly shifted our focus to international markets, started offering more services in Europe and the US, and eventually relocated to the USA. While the pandemic affected the entire world and restrictions were everywhere, being limited to just one market (the Russian market, where we were previously focused) held us back. By expanding globally, we’ve opened up many more opportunities for growth. So, the pandemic taught us a valuable lesson, which we were able to quickly understand and turn to our advantage, and now we’re operating worldwide.
