Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Gowdy.
Kyle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We started our business in October 2013 on a very small scale doing about 3-4 foundations a month for the first three months. After a little networking and referrals, our company has grown to around 25 a month and growing at a steady but comfortable pace. Our goal is to provide people with a fair price and great quality.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have grown this business slow and stead in order to reduce the struggles, although we have had them occasionally through the years. Advertising is probably one of the struggles that is ongoing. Trying to figure out what is the best way to get our name out there without spending a fortune in the process is always a concern with every business and can cause a business to fail very quickly so we are very cautious on the way we advertise.
Please tell us about Pier Pressure Foundation Repair.
We are a foundation repair company servicing all of DFW and surrounding areas. Our goal is to be the best at what we do and part of being the best is to have a few warranty issues as possible. To do that we have to do the job right the first time. In six years, we have had two warranty calls and both were because the customer did not correct the drainage after the repair. We offer a lifetime fully transferable warranty on all types of pressed piers so we want to make sure we do the job to perfection.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory was skiing in Colorado. Growing up in West Texas, we were close to Colorado and that made it easy to get there fairly quickly so we were able to go several times a year.
