Today we’d like to introduce you to Kym McCann.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Kym. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I got into skincare when I hit my 30’s because my skin went through some hormonal changes and I really got into the ingredients in products and it got me interested in the field. I was living in San Diego and I got a job at a Sephora and really threw myself into learning all the different brands and from there I decided to go to school to be an esthetician. I found my passion!
I worked as an esthetician in a prominent San Diego day spa until my family and I moved back home to Texas. I decided I wanted to take everything I have learned from the last ten years working in skincare and open my own skincare suite. I opened in 2018 and recently just moved my business to Grapevine, Texas. I love working one on one with clients and seeing the changes in their skin and the confidence they get after working with me. I’ve been doing this for almost 12 years now and I absolutely love it!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting over after moving across the country was definitely a challenge. I absolutely loved my day spa in San Diego, where I worked, but building my business now has been amazing and I’m only looking forward!

I believe in taking a balanced approach when it comes to professionally treating skin, combining customized and effective treatments with European-style spa relaxation. I specialize in acne and sun-damaged skincare using facials, microdermabrasion and chemical peels. I also specialize in facial waxing and brow shaping.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’m a single mom so while luck has it’s placed in my life, it’s more about hard work and determination that’s gotten me to where I am.
