Larae, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Coming from a very secure job in finance, the daily tasks became dull to me. I needed a job that would bring excitement, not just a job but an actual career, something I could see myself doing for years to come. Real estate has been a passion of mines for as long as I can remember. I mean how many other jobs are there that you can be out in the field showing and seeing nice properties, have control of your income potential and bring joy to people lives. As of today, I have closed a total of 8 deals with more pending and this is only my first year!
Has it been a smooth road?
Being a Realtor definitely has its challenges. I mean what other career do you go to school for, become state and nationally certified and still don’t know how to do the job. Thats right real estate school teaches you nothing about being an actual realtor. That means you have to find your own way with a lot of trial and error while potentially not making a dollar for a long period of time. That within itself is frustrating but hopefully, you are lucky like me and find a great mentor.

I chose to work for a small firm because I felt like it was a better fit for me. I specialize in helping people locate apartments, rental properties, and their dream home. I also help list their own homes for rental income. I believe what sets me apart from other realtors is that I try to always be available and as knowledgeable as possible. I always keep in mind that I am here to serve my client and do what’s in their best interest.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love Dallas because it is so much culture and potential here. The only thing that I don’t like about the city is the traffic, but even that reminds me that there are more potential clients.
