Today we’d like to introduce you to Larry Gucciardo.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Larry. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After working in the swimming pool industry for 12 years I decided to start an outdoor living company. I designed and sold swimming pools so moving into the outdoor living area was easy for me to do as I already had a great understanding of hardscape, electrical, plumbing, and stonework. I applied the knowledge I had from designing swimming pools to outdoor living.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We have made progress each year we have been in business. I started the company about 10 years ago at the beginning of the past recession so it was an uphill struggle to succeed in such a poor economy, however, I knew that if I built high quality products that I could grow the business slowly and over time the economy would improve. We are now in one of the highest growth areas of construction in the city of Dallas and we have a very high demand for our products and services because we stuck to our principles of building high quality products with great customer service.
Dallas Outdoor Kitchens & Hardscape – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As an outdoor living contractor we build all sorts of projects, some small, some large, and a lot in between. Most of our work is for residential clients but we also do some commercial work as well. We have built for many of the Camden Apartment communities in Dallas, as well as Pizza Hut Corporation, Med Assets Corporation, and most recently for Ritz-Carlton Regency Towers.
We specialize in all sorts of hardscape work including, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, fire pits, patio covers, pergolas, driveways, stone columns, and we are an Authorized contractor for Belgard Paver sales and installation that are used for patios, walkways, and pool decks.
I believe that the quality of our work sets us apart from our competitors. We employ the highest standards of construction with individuals who truly are artists in their field of work.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We define success when we have completed a project and the customer says that we have exceeded their expectations. It is a great feeling to know we did better than a customer had hoped for.
Pricing:
- Most of our projects will range from a low of $5,000 to more than $100,000. Each project varies in size, scope, and difficulty, and our prices vary with them.
