Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Davis.
Lauren, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Fashion is one of my favorite forms of self-expression. In fact, one of my favorite style quotes is “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak”. It was around 2013 or 2014 when I was truly captivated by online beauty, fashion, and lifestyle content creators. Since then, I’ve been an avid blog reader, YouTube viewer, and Pinterest pinner.
Many of my favorite online content creators helped me find and develop my own personal style and I found their content nothing short of inspiring. I’ve always been a creative and visual person, so naturally, the thought of starting my own blog crossed my mind. After a lot of research (and frustration), I finally launched La Vida Lauren in hopes of inspiring other women to live a passionate and fashionable life filled with joie de vivre.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being self-taught, my biggest challenge has been learning everything I needed to know before launching a blog. And of course, I’m still learning. Blogging is actually extremely tedious and very time-consuming. You have to pay a lot of attention to detail and there is a lot to consider before launching and even more to consider when you’re actively trying to grow. As much as I love it, the time commitment can be very difficult when you’re not pursuing blogging full-time.
Please tell us about La Vida Lauren.
La Vida Lauren is a fashion and lifestyle blog that emphasizes everyday luxuries, personal style, and joie de vivre. Readers can expect to see fashion, lifestyle, and travel-related content, but I’m most known for my OOTDs. There’s nothing like that confidence you feel when you’ve created a look that does all the talking for you. On a lifestyle note, I’m most proud of the fact that La Vida Lauren challenges and reminds its readers that life is not an emergency and it is meant to be lived and enjoyed. La Vida Lauren takes a unique approach to elevating the everyday luxuries we all experience no matter who you are, where you live, or what you do. We all share common daily experiences and we all deserve to make those little moments magical.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Ideally, I would have started sooner and stuck with it.
