Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Pace.
Lauren, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Since I was young, I’ve always been interested in nails, nail art and just the entire cosmetology field in general. In 2011 I became a licensed nail technician and started my journey in this exciting field. Along with nail art, I have always also been very interested in nail health and decided that natural nails was my path. In 2014 I made a big move from Flint, Michigan to Dallas, and there was more opportunity here than I could have even imagined. Although the move was tough emotionally and I missed my family, I knew I had made the right decision.
Fast forward to 2018 to the idea of me starting my own business; press on nails. They’ve always been around, but in recent years there has been a trend in the custom salon-quality press on nails. They still take into account the health of your natural nails and save you time and money. There were also perfect for me because they gave me a chance to express myself more creatively, which can sometimes lack when dealing with natural nails. Since then, I just dove in. Learning as much as I can about business, sales and marketing and applying that to my own business and helping it grow. So far, entrepreneurship has been a rewarding experience and has made me want to branch out even further. I hope to own multiple small businesses in the coming years.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been a semi-smooth road. There have been a couple of bumps here and there and plenty of lessons learned. Starting a business can be tough. There’s a lot to learn to get it from an idea to an actual working and profitable business. Persistence is key! I’m still in the process and still learning every day, but I’m very excited about what the future holds for me.

Impressive Nails is a luxury custom press-on nail boutique. Everything I make is hand made with professional products and I put my all into each set. The nails I create are salon quality and can’t be compared to the drug store brands. My passion for natural nail health also sets my brand apart from others. Nothing makes me more proud than to help someone feel beautiful and boost their confidence.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I honestly don’t think I would do anything different. My journey is unique to me and I feel that we accomplish things when we are supposed to and how we are supposed to. This has definitely been a learning experience. I’m grateful and I wouldn’t change a thing.
