Thanks for sharing your story with us Laurie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Moved from Colorado 16 years ago…. where I had flipped homes for many years. Having worked with many friends and family members over the years in Texas helping them redesign their homes to assist them either in the sale of their home or just simply helping them use their existing items to enhance or create the environment they envisioned with limited investment. About Living Beautifully was created and incorporated in January of 2016.
My goal is to help an individual or family use their existing items or possibly add a few to create the home they have always wanted. Through this venture I have also started a photography business focusing on cost effective head shots and product shots.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yes, there has been some struggles…. the real estate market is fabulous here so, I have found that it is best to focus on Redesign vs. Staging…. Many people do not understand what Redesign is. My main goal is to educate individuals what Redesign is. It is not Interior Decorating! Redesign is a rewarding experience! Staging is about making a house impersonal whereas Redesign is all about making it personal!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about about Living beautifully – what should we know?
My company focuses on home redesign…. what sets us apart is that we focus on budget! We can assist a client if they have $50 – $1,000 or more. Again, we are not Interior Decorators! We will not ask you to tear down a wall if your budget does not allow, but we have the contacts if that is what you would like to do that! We listen to what our clients want! Redesign is about what an individual wants not what currents trends are. We are more than happy to convey current trends if a client desires that.
