Meet Liana Jo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liana Jo.

Liana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
For so long, I noticed that friends and family would come to me for food recommendations or ask for new places to eat. With me being extra and organized, I would provide a detailed list of the best eats in town with pricing, cuisine and location. This sparked my interest in creating a foodie profile.

I was in my last semester of college working at a hospitality public relations firm. I’ve always known about the foodie space and being around food influencers made me really go for it. For my love for food, photography and social media, I knew this was something I was really passionate about.

Even though it has only been eight months, it’s been a crazy ride! I’ve met so many people, eaten some amazing new foods and have gained many friendships along the way. I am so grateful for the opportunities that this profile has given me and what there is to come.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a smooth ride for me so far. Although, going through the transition from being a college student to a post-graduate has been a struggle. This profile has helped me with my creativity, time management and stepping out of my comfort zone.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Dallas is a growing city with so many new places popping up. I am always on the look-out for new and upcoming places to eat in the area. Either it’s the newest boba shop, fried chicken place or even the trendiest food out there. Showing others new and different types of food is what I plan to create.

Even though I’m not a travel/lifestyle-focused profile, traveling is something that I love to do. From Paris to Honolulu, I love showing people different types of cultures through my love for food.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I have been living in the Dallas area for over 11 years. I have seen so many things change. While being in college and away from the city for four years, there are so many new things and places being built. I am loving how diverse Dallas has become. Though with the number of people coming in, the more traffic I have to sit in is no go for me.
