Meet Liberty Carter of livingwithliberty in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liberty Carter.

Liberty, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ever since I was a kid, my older sisters always had a camera around. Together they always did photoshoots and even though I’m ten years younger, I tagged along sometimes. Their love art, fashion, and photography grew once even after they left for college. I took photography, yearbook, and all other types of artistic expression throughout my schooling and finally got a good canon camera in 8th grade. I would dress up my dogs, siblings, friends and take pictures. Once I got Instagram, I was able to share what I and done, and also learn what others were doing! It wasn’t until about 2018 that I started getting good and gaining a following on my account. Since then, my photography style has changed drastically and I’m always striving for a new idea and a friend to help me bring it to life. I take tons of photos everywhere I go and I love seeing the reaction on a person’s face when they like the photo I took for them. Recently I’ve been getting lots of offers for different collaborations and also to model in prom and bridal dresses! Thats have been really exciting to see just my love for photos on Instagram turn into the start of a real career opportunity!

Has it been a smooth road?
For me being only 18, it cannot be very easy to get further into the photography industry sometimes. And that’s just due to busy schedule and lack of connection in the community. And not many of my friends are photography inclined, so when I see a frame id like to capture, it doesn’t always come out the way id like it to.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I think that currently, my pictures represent an essence that’s recreate-able. People come to my page and not just see an aesthetic, but an inspiration for them to work off on. I like it when I’m able to help others grow in whatever they’re passionate about.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the hopefully near future id like to work more and more with other creatives. I want to go further into the emotion that can be translated through an image I’ve been working with some brands and representing some products, so I’d love to continue that on a bigger scale. My other goal is to do more photography for others! Maybe senior pictures or just for fun. Also, I’m working on setting up a blog! I feel like that will set fire once it is up. Currently under reconstruction, though!
