Hi Liliana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Liliana, a 36-year-old nurse injector born in La Piedad, Michoacán and raised in East Dallas. My career began in traditional medicine, dental oncology, surgery, the ER, and hospice care, where I learned the importance of precision, compassion, and truly listening to patients.
I first started training in injectables in 2020, but like many people, the pandemic and major shifts in my family life rerouted my path. After some years, and now as a mother of five, I found my way back to aesthetics with even more purpose.
Today, I’m injecting at Syringe Aesthetics with Manuel Guillen, APRN FNP-C , in the Casa Linda area of Dallas. I’m committed to being the best injector I can be constantly investing in advanced trainings, cadaver courses, and ongoing education to elevate my skills and deliver safe, beautiful, natural results.
Through all the adversity, I’ve kept pushing forward. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m even more excited for everything still ahead.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Failure was never an option for me, but I’ve had to push through a lot of obstacles, lack of support, a divorce, and navigating life as a single mother. Financial struggles were very real, and stepping into a field where most providers were older or more established sometimes made me feel like I had to work twice as hard just to be taken seriously.
But every challenge shaped me. Those experiences taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of believing in myself even when no one else did. They’re a big part of why I’m so driven today.
My parents came to this country searching for a better life, and I’ve always carried that with me. Their sacrifices motivated me to work harder, push through every setback, and make sure their journey, and everything they gave up, was worth it. Their courage is a big part of why I refuse to give up, no matter how tough things get.
