Meet Lillian Phillips of Lilly in Farmer Branch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lillian Phillips.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lillian. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hey! My name is Lillian or Lilly, whichever you prefer. 🙂 I was born in Dallas, and I’ve lived here ever since. My story isn’t much of a story but it all began when I was around 8 or 9 years old. I was looking through some old photos out in my garage and I found some of my mom when she was about 16 I think. She was gorgeous, absolutely stunning. When I asked her about the photos, she told me that they were from her modeling days. She continued telling me about her experience with modeling and what she went through. After hearing her story, it completely filled me with this passion at the time where I couldn’t think about anything but modeling. Now that I’m older and almost 17 years old, I can understand a little bit better about what models go through, and the passion hasn’t left, but now, I can appreciate and admire the models and everybody in the business more. I realize how strong they are and how not many people can do what they do.

I’m currently not signed to an agency yet but I did go to school for it, I went to a school called Bella modeling school and they helped me with everything there is to know about modeling. I really appreciate them for what they’ve done for me.

So, that’s my story so far.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course, it hasn’t always been an easy road, I’ve had quite a few struggles actually. One of the main ones is, I’m enrolled in online school and have been for about almost two years now. With being enrolled online, there’s a lot of pros and cons but my main issue is isolation. I’m not able to hang out with my friends and help get my name out there as much as I’d like to. Most of the other upcoming models I’ve noticed get a lot of support from their friends and that’s awesome. It’s just a little harder for me, haha.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I don’t have much of a business, it’s mainly just me following my dream in becoming an amazing model who will hopefully one day make a difference in the world. I can tell you, what sets me apart from others is I am crazy passionate about my dream and I will not stop at anything until I reach my goal and help others along the way. I only have positive outlooks on life and hopefully, I can help others see that way too.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I am very, very grateful for everything that has happened to me so far. Good or bad, every lesson has taught me to be who I am today. I don’t think it’s luck but my cousin, Katarina Arriaga has worked so hard to be where she is at right now and because of her hard work she has been able to get a bigger audience, (which she fully deserves) and has been able to help me out with getting my name out there. I know that without her, I probably wouldn’t be so driven to follow my dreams. I’ve watched her grind and struggle so much that it’s inspired me to do the same and so I really appreciate her for showing me to be the woman that I am today.
