Meet Lily Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lily Moore.

Lily’s personal story is one that is illustrative of the American Dream. Lily arrived in the United States at the age of 20 alone, full of fear and speaking no English. Through hard work, a drive to succeed and a lot of luck, she landed a corporate job at AT&T. Her time in corporate America enabled her to become fluent in English, become a problem solver and ultimately gave her the confidence to know that she could achieve whatever her heart sought out to do. Lily’s always been a very driven person who was constantly moving and looking for ways to make a difference in others lives.

One day, after a heart to heart with her husband Chad, they landed on the real estate profession as a possible career where Lily could use her assets to truly make a difference in others lives in her professional career. Lily got her real estate license in 2011. Lily practiced real estate on the side while continuing to be a full-time employee at AT&T’s corporate office in Downtown Dallas. Over a few years, her client base continued to grow and in 2016, her career was at a point where she had to make a decision, corporate world or real estate. The choice was easy as Lily had found what she was meant to do, help others achieve their own dreams through real estate.

Lily’s first full year as a full-time agent was in 2017 where she was the #1 individual agent at Keller Williams’ Southlake office. Throughout that year, it became very obvious to Lily and her husband Chad who was also a longtime AT&T employee that they had a special opportunity in front of them. At the start of 2018, Chad also took a leap of faith and retired from AT&T early and together, they opened the doors on their own real estate brokerage, Lily Moore Realty.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Came to the United States alone and speaking no English. Was always a driven person who connected with others but did struggle to find a profession could be passionate about. Was able to analyze career choices, strengths and passions and motivations to understand that real estate was a field that fit lifecycle. Many doubters along the way. Leaving a secure job with a good package was frowned upon and many doubted the ability to excel outside of that setting. Ultimately bet on self and what was in her heart versus what the world had to say.

Opening Lily Moore Realty with husband Chad where they can build a legacy for their family. Being able to chart your own path, control your own message and to do things your way is priceless. The best type of business is the family business where it is personal, your clients feel it and appreciate it.
