Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Stone.
Lindsay, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into the beauty world started with a favor to a friend. She wanted to look amazing for her Maternity photos and she asked me to help! Always being interested in skincare but not makeup, I figured “why not?” We had a great time and the photos were amazing! I caught the makeup artist bug. Turns out me being an Artist was an incredible place to start. Because of my years of studying fine art in college and during my graduate studies, I have a natural affinity for composition, color, and balance – all extremely important skills to master as a professional makeup artist.
I’ve dedicated myself to mastering my craft and approach each client like I’m creating a piece of art. I love what I do and the clients I have the pleasure to work with!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
For the most part, it’s been a smooth road. I have small children, so sometimes scheduling trials or working a long weekend can cut into my family time, but I’m fortunate to have a [private studio on my home and that helps me keep my family/work-life balance.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
One of the things that stands out about me is I love love love my clients. The personal touch is something that I value and booking with me is exactly that – me from start to finish.
I have invested in years of elite training to bring my clients the very best beauty experience possible. I’ve mastered the art of airbrush and I take great pride in my work – I want to be the best. I give my clients an above average, personal experience that allows me to get to know you so your look is not only beautiful but exactly what you envisioned. I’m known for my natural, not fake or overdone, bridal looks that show off natural beauty, not cover it up.
What sets me apart from other wedding beauty pros? I am so obsessed with glowing, healthy skin that I just launched a line of skincare! It’s cruelty free, paraben free, alcohol free, gluten free, and vegan. This line of products goes hand-in-hand with my philosophy: The most beautiful thing you can be is yourself. I want to help give my customers and clients their best skin using local, fresh ingredients, with effective and potent ingredients purposed for skin improvement.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
It’s hard to predict the wedding industry, especially after Covid. I hope in the next 5-10 years Bride’s will be able to book their wedding pros without the fear of cancellation.
