Hi Linn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my creative journey when I founded (Envied Fashions), the first and only fashion club that thrives to this day at the campus of S.U.N.Y. New Paltz. The success of Envied Fashions inspired me to continue creating content with my friends on YouTube. As our channel grew in popularity, I taught myself photography and video skills to help improve the quality of our content.
With the growth of our YouTube channel, I then founded Linntvproductions—a media agency for the greats!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Building Linntvproductions has been challenging but rewarding! All media agencies need access to capital for operating costs. Without that, it was difficult to stay consistent and create the momentum I needed to attract new clients. I learned the important lesson of going beyond just being creative and learning the business of media. It’s not just about making great content; you have to know how to sell it too!
The pandemic then created new hurdles in my journey of freelancing. NYC held strict mandates during this major health crisis. My business like many others came to a complete stop. I knew if New York ever got shut down again my business wouldn’t make it. This is was prompted my move to Dallas Texas.
