Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizbeth Quiroz.
Hi Lizbeth, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m from a small mountain town in New Mexico called Ruidoso. I went to school in an even smaller town, Capitan, where I attended from kindergarten through my senior year. My graduating class had only 29 students, so I’m very much a small-town girl.
My parents are Mexican immigrants who met in Anaheim, California. After getting married and having my three brothers and one sister, they moved to Ruidoso, where I was born. When I was just nine months old, my dad pursued his dream and opened a Mexican restaurant. You could easily say I grew up in the restaurant.
I was promoted my entire life. I started as a busser before I could even read, then worked my way up to dishwasher, cook, and eventually server. That environment shaped me early on. It taught me discipline, responsibility, and the value of hard work.
Growing up, we rarely went to primary care doctors. Not because we were against them, but because we found relief through holistic remedies my mom would make at home and regular chiropractic care. Seeing a chiropractor was simply a normal part of life for us, even before I fully understood what it meant.
In high school, I enrolled in a program that allowed me to graduate with both my high school diploma and an associate’s degree. Because of that, I had to decide early on what career path I wanted to pursue. My three brothers and my sister-in-law, who are all chiropractors, had a major influence on that decision. Their passion for helping people inspired me to follow in their footsteps and move to Dallas to do the same.
I was only 18 years old when I left my hometown. I helped one of my brothers start his practice and worked as his receptionist while he got the clinic off the ground. Soon after, I began my undergraduate studies at Parker University while continuing to serve tables to support myself.
The day before my 19th birthday, I started the Doctor of Chiropractic program. It was challenging, demanding, and incredibly rewarding. I graduated with my doctorate at 23 years old, and at 24, I opened my own clinic.
Today, I am proud to serve the Frisco community through Viva Chiropractic Center and to call this place home. My journey from a small mountain town and a family restaurant to owning a healthcare practice has shaped the way I care for my patients. Hard work, holistic healing, and genuine connection are at the heart of everything I do.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think I even know what a smooth road looks like anymore. This has been one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, things I’ve ever done. To start, I’m a very young, 5’2” female chiropractor in a male-dominated industry, and that alone comes with its own set of obstacles.
If I’m being completely honest and vulnerable, I didn’t have any funding when I started my practice. I barely had rent money to my name. This clinic was built entirely on grit, passion, and faith, and it’s only by God’s grace that I’m here today serving others.
There have been struggles on every end of the spectrum, personal, professional, financial, and emotional. If I sat here and named them all, we’d be here all day. What I do know is that the challenges never really stop, and I’ve learned to embrace that. In many ways, that’s what makes this journey exciting. Every obstacle has shaped me into a stronger doctor, business owner, and person, and I wouldn’t trade that growth for anything.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Viva Chiropractic Center is a family-centered chiropractic clinic built on one simple goal: taking exceptional care of people and getting them real results. We’re known for the kind of service that feels personal from the moment you walk in, because to us, patients aren’t just a number or a time slot. We genuinely love our patients, and we want every person who comes through our doors to feel seen, heard, and cared for.
We help people move better, feel better, and get back to living life without constant discomfort. We care for everyone from children to seniors, including busy families who need consistent care that actually fits into real life. We also work with auto accident cases and support patients through recovery with a structured, thorough approach that focuses on long-term healing, not just temporary relief.
What sets Viva Chiropractic Center apart is the combination of high-level clinical care with high-touch service. We take the time to listen, educate, and create a plan that makes sense for each individual. Our patients appreciate that we’re not one-size-fits-all. We focus on progress, measurable improvement, and helping people understand their bodies so they feel confident and supported throughout their care.
What we’re most proud of is the trust our community has placed in us. People don’t just come here for an adjustment, they come because they know they’ll be taken care of. We’ve built a clinic that feels welcoming, uplifting, and focused on outcomes. At the end of the day, our mission is simple: serve people well, help them heal, and make it easy for families to stay healthy.
How do you define success?
Success, to me, is being able to serve people at a high level while staying true to who I am and why I started. It’s not just about numbers or growth, it’s about impact. If our patients feel cared for, if they’re getting real results, and if they’re able to live their lives with less pain and more freedom, that’s success.
Success is also building a clinic that people trust and feel proud to recommend. It’s creating an environment where families feel supported, where healing feels possible, and where the quality of care never gets rushed or watered down. And personally, success means being able to grow something meaningful, sustain it, and continue showing up with excellence every single day.
