Today we’d like to introduce you to Loners Club.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I became a singer-songwriter right after I got out of a horrid abusive relationship. I’d never been in love the way I was in love & 18 year old me didn’t see the signs before it was too late and my heart and esteem were already broken. To make it worse, later the same young man raped me one late afternoon on February of ‘16. He dragged me by my leg to his brother room and pinned me down with his leg as he proceeded to do what he wanted. I’d never been so broken. So out of it. I’d struggled with depression and suicide before, but this time it was going to be it for me. As I was writing my letter goodbye, I remember writing “I tried everything.” I felt bad if it wasn’t true. I always thought about songwriting. So I said I’d go for it before I go. I called me brother Sosa Real and we’ll, that conversation gave me a new light. That same night I wrote “You won’t choose me” and Loners Club was born. Loners saved me.
Please tell us about your art.
I write songs & create & direct music videos and photo shoots. The huge message about my music is a loner doesn’t mean you’re just a depressive mess. Even if it is, it’s honest. We’re not honest with ourselves anymore in this day and age. Especially with our feelings. So how do we really grow if we ignore what we feel? Who are we if we don’t know who we are? Yes, I don’t want to deal with everyone or anyone cause people are a let down if you let them be, but I’m human too, and honesty is the only way I can truly be me & properly grow.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
Hard work is needed as an artist. You can be as talented as you want, but without the hard work, it means not a thing. You can want it badder than the baddest and still not achieve a lick without putting in enough work. That defines success.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I have a few shows coming in college station and Dallas this early February. As well as another show next month in Fort Worth Texas! Please support me by streaming me on all your favorite music engines & watching my visuals on YouTube!
