Meet Lorenzo Zenteno of Premier Live Experience in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorenzo Zenteno.

Lorenzo, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2015, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram labeled me “The Godfather of Fort Worth Hip-Hop” when. I graced their cover. My background is extensive and one of the most decorated.

I was the first Mexican/American recording artist to ever win the Fort Worth Weekly Award for “Best Rap/R&B Artist” in 2006, 2007, 2015.

I was also the first Mexican/American recording artist to:
– Be featured on the cover of both cover of: The Fort Worth Star-Telegram & The Fort Worth Weekly
– Win both a Fort Worth Weekly Music Award + Dallas Observer Music Award
– K104 Street Swag Sunday Winner

In 2007, I launched “Total Pandemonium” (An All Age Event Dance Competition/Concert Series) from 2007-2009, Total Pandemonium broke attendance and revenue records throughout Fort Worth. Total Pandemonium is the origin of what would later become Premier Live. I started doing self-promoted events because I never got gigs as an independent artist. It eventually transitioned into booking national acts, etc.

In 2016, I launched my Talent Buying Company – Premier Live Experience. We specialize in live entertainment and routing national tours throughout the region. Premier Live has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry such as: The Game, Nipsey Hussle, Joyner Lucas, Dave East, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Eric B & Rakim, Ja Rule & Ashanti, Bhad Bhabie, Bun B, Royce 5’9″, Joe Budden, Immortal Technique, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, + Many More

Premier Live also launched ‘Premier Wishes’ which focuses on charitable causes such as pairing super fans with disabilities or life threatening ailments and giving them the opportunity to meet their musical idols. Premier Wishes also raised over $20,000 for Hurricane Harvey Relief and have donated thousands of toys during the holidays with their annual toy drive.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Never worth having comes easy. I’ve definitely have had my fair shares of struggles over the course of my career. I’ve always been self-taught/self-managed so I endured a ton of growing pains. From not getting booked as an artist when I first got started to NOT being taken serious as a LEGITIMATE talent buying company by the national agencies when I first got broke into this side of this business. I’ve heard NO way more than I’ve heard YES but that’s the reason why I am the way I am (in terms of my approach)

I’ve had – Radio, Venues, Media Outlets all shut me down but it never discouraged me, it always made me go harder. The hunger got me to the dance so to this day, I refuse to feel respected or that I’ve “made it”…. I always carry the mentality that I have something to prove. The struggle created that monster.

Please tell us about Premier Live Experience.
I am the President/Founder of Premier Live Experience. Premier Live is a multi-media company that specializes in Live Entertainment.

Premier Live routes national tours for national recording artists throughout the region (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, & Fort Worth)

We have worked with an amazing array of national artists that include: Nipsey Hussle, Dave East, Joyner Lucas, The Game, Ja Rule & Ashanti, Eric B & Rakim, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Ginuwine, Royce 5’9″, Joe Budden, Immortal Technique, Bun B, Scarface, Chamillionaire, Bhad Bhabie, Kap G, + many more.

The thing that I am the most proud of the company Is that: It has served as a platform to elevate careers. From people that work directly with the company to independent artists that have worked with us on a one off basis, I have literally seen our company change people’s lives. We have been the bridge to connect a lot of people and a lot of situations and it truly is surreal to see it come to life.

I feel what sets Premier Live apart from others is: The approach. We are customer focused (Both internally and externally). We are local support friendly and we are community driven. Between given independent artists opportunities that I never had coming up (such as opening up for national shows) and hosting our yearly toy drive where we raise toys for the orphanage in Downtown Fort Worth…. I don’t know of many companies that are doing what we are doing.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I probably would’ve started PREMIER LIVE sooner. At times, I wish I could go back go in time and tell a younger version of myself that “You don’t know as much as you think you know” but aside from that I don’t think there’s much things I would’ve done different.
