Today we’d like to introduce you to Luke Mack.
Hi Luke, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, my name is Luke Mack. As an accessories inventor, a father, and a frontline healthcare professional, I have seen firsthand the impact that masks have had on our way of life in COVID-19. Even the most rigorous social distancers and mask wearers have a tendency to let their guard down in familiar environments or when faced with high-pressure situations that require immediate action, this is where Mcase evolved… as a solution to where we can securely store our various masks. As a father, you have no idea how many times I have had to play “Where’s your mask” and take on the persona of Sherlock Holmes on a National Treasure type adventure piecing together clues to find missing masks stuffed in a bag, in a pocket, on the floor.
Thus, M Case was born to create a safe haven for your mask. Drawing on previous work inventing accessories, our team studied the challenges and worked through a design process to ensure that the products we offer are durable, easy to use, and most importantly, provide the peace of mind we all are seeking for our various target audiences. Protect yourself, your families, your loved ones, and what matters most: our ability to contribute and be part of the solution. With each purchase made, we donate a mask case to a child in need. If you know of any organizations that can benefit or partner with us to help us reach as many people as possible, please do not hesitate to reach out! We love hearing about how we can improve our offerings to serve you better, and thank you for supporting our mission.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been smooth. We sought to be the first in this space and, with that specifically, put in the time and effort to create specifically designed cases. Did I mention our brand was trademarked? So many things start to hit the market, but thankfully, our niche products have helped us stay above the rest. We pride ourselves on our quality and time put into designing our cases. Also, with the constant rise of Covid19, some of our initial launch dates did not go so well as planned because the majority of American school kids did not go back to school initially so we were unable to try and equip these schools with the tools, such as our cases to help ensure a successful return. In addition to that, this has been my covid project, so I have bootstrapped it all financially in order to help provide mask case options for all. But overall, I am grateful to where we are today and the vision set forth. I just want us to continue to grow and be able to reach and help more people.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My day job is in healthcare. The main clients we serve are within the geriatric population, from home health and therapy services, pharmacy to hospice and palliative care, we serve a wide arrange of clientele. So that in itself is ever so rewarding in that I am able to help serve the underserved in DFW. I am an avid entrepreneur. I created another company while in grad school and successfully launched a patented product, which I am utmost proud of. Our focus was in men’s accessories, but that overall experience taught me the drive and tenacity to further pursue my entrepreneurial goals and reach for the stars. What sets me apart from others is ideally, my fervent desire to make things happen. Some talk the talk and others, like myself, just make it happen. I pride myself on seeking out new and innovative ways to further help build on these business ventures from my daily in healthcare to my current endeavor with Mcase. Our goal is to provide all who wear masks, a viable option to store their masks. Simple huh??
How do you define success?
Reaching a goal or completing a task is usually what defines success, but to me, success is being able to spread the word and get our cases out to all that wear masks. Seeing this project grow into fruition, from just a mere idea to a full-fledged product and company, has truly amazed me. Knowing that we are able to provide safe, viable options for people’s masks all over the world is pretty gratifying. I flourish in multiple businesses, and I have a coveted career, but what matters most is being able to help those who cannot help themselves. I see success as being able to help mentor, give back, and help inspire others as we climb… especially our youth.
