Meet Lynae and Mark Vosberg of Fort Worth Country Memories

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynae and Mark Vosberg.

Lynae and Mark, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Our daughter got married 2 years ago and we were faced with finding the perfect location. The sky was not the limit! It was hard to find a place that allowed our daughter to have what she wanted for her wedding within a sensible budget. By the time you utilize all the venue requirements, it was completely out of that range. Why should we have to use their caterer? Why should we have to pay extra to walk down the staircase? It doesn’t include the tables and chairs? Really? She did get to have the perfect wedding, but the budget took a hard hit.

We have owned 2 Pack and Ship stores for 12 years and customer service is our passion! After that, we decided we wanted to own a wedding venue that would give our clients a unique location with affordable options.

With the power of social media, less than a year later one fell in our laps thru a shared Facebook post. It had been in business for 2 years and now we could make it our own. Weddings were already booked into the next year, so we were up and running. Within the first 6 months, we had made considerable changes and our clients loved it. Now time for us to revamp websites, create social media, and get the word out about our hidden gem.

Has it been a smooth road?
Customer service for Pack and Ship Stores is not much different than our wedding venue. It is very important to meet the needs of your client, address issues that arise, or even more so to look outside the box to see issues that may arise. Business has been good and we learned more and more with each event we hold. We have spent a considerable amount of time and money to make improvements. These were improvements requested by our clients and seen as issues by us that have since resulted in an increase in business.

As with any good business model, it is important for us to continue making improvements, and changes reflected in current trends. If you remain the same your company will not continue to prosper, and you will have become outdated.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Fort Worth Country Memories is an outdoor wedding venue. Our reception area has our beautiful signature red barn that offers unique shabby chic decor, picnic tables, wooden deck, and large covered area with cedar pavilion. While our open ceremony area is centered amongst old oak trees with a freestanding wooden barn door entrance to the wooden walkway and deck. At center point is our 1920’s chandelier hanging from our white arbor. Our venue has a variety of packages and options to fit every budget.

But with Fort Worth Country Memories you do not have to settle for the same ‘ole wedding. We offer some photo opportunities at the top of the hill to take pictures in the wooden swing hanging from a tree with the pond and grove of trees in the background. Walk out on the dock for the scenic pictures at the pond. You can also walk hand in hand down the gravel road lined with trees for more great pictures.

What about a campfire? Everybody loves smores. When was the last time you were on a hayride? We take our 1952 Ford Tractor and trailer to the back of our property to our beautiful blue pond to feed the fish, and to the corral to feed “Zoey” our zebra and the miniature horses. Not every wedding venue has a zebra!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The Dallas Fort Worth metroplex surrounding area offers great opportunities to start a wedding business. Research the area to see if there is a need, find land you can utilize, and create your vision. We were lucky in that the previous owners did the hardest part for us which gave us a great platform to expand our vision. What kind of venue will you be, indoor or outdoor? What will your decor be? What will you offer?
