Meet Lynn Wendeborn of Lynn Wendeborn Designs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynn Wendeborn.

Lynn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
5 years ago, after retiring from American Airlines / Sabre (25years of service) I went to school to become certified as an interior decorator (my life’s passion) and started my business. My project management and client management skills have been an asset in helping my clients stay in budget and keep our projects on time.

I’ve built up numerous talented resources to help me with all aspects of remodeling and decorating.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course there are bumps in the road, but I’m so grateful to be doing what I love and have always dreamed of so those bumps are barely noticeable.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Designing interior and exterior residences in the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex area, Lynn Wendeborn Designs services range from full home remodeling to simple furniture arrangement, color consultation, lighting design, and wall through consulting to help clients add pizzazz and continuity to their own efforts.

What sets me apart from other decorators is that my goal with every client to provide them beautiful, functional design at an affordable price. Whether, my finding just the right bargain, some DIY projects, or designing around their current furnishings and accessories whenever possible.

I’m most proud of my client relationships. I so enjoy working with those that reach out to me for assistance. Getting into their head and heart to understand what kind of home they need. I’m honored to be invited into their personal spaces and trusted to help them think outside of the box, reach for things they sometimes can’t envision. I think my reviews on Houzz show that my clients believe in my goal of excellence in customer service.

What were you like growing up?
As a child, I was extremely quiet and shy, very studious, loved books and have read voraciously for my entire life. I was a child when Barbie and Ken were first gaining in popularity. My Mom made my Barbie beautiful clothes by hand but I spent all my play time making furniture from oatmeal cartons, toothpaste boxes, etc. and drawing wallpaper designs on cardboard boxes to create a home for the dolls under my parent’s dining table.
