Meet Macy Frazier and Charlye Michelle of The Witch Bitch Amateur Hour

Today we’d like to introduce you to Macy Frazier and Charlye Michelle.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Macy and Charlye. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started with a trip to the very first DFW Witchy Bazaar. We (Charlye and Macy) took an exploratory trip to a local witchy festival one evening and returned awakened. In the following days, we divulged every bit of witchyness that we had ever felt or explored in the past, and found that we could talk for hours about our experiences. So we decided to do just that.

Just weeks after opening up to each other about our practices, we determined the next best step was to open up to the world! We wanted to create a space we felt was missing from the world of the newly practicing spiritualist, we wanted to create a space to learn about the tools of the trade, and importantly, we wanted to create a space for amateurs.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with all things worth doing, it hasn’t been easy. Neither of us came into this project with any exceptional knowledge of podcasting, so we’ve learned every aspect from the ground up. From technical equipment to social media branding, and everything in between, we’ve steadily learned and adapted to each new challenge. It’s part of the reason we strive to make aware that it’s perfectly okay to admit that you don’t know much about something, and it’s important to be able to try things and learn with no judgement.

The Witch Bitch Amateur Hour – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are Charlye Michelle and Macy Frazier, also known as the hosts of The Witch Bitch Amateur Hour. We invite you to join us as we explore the overly complicated and highly debated world of all that is spiritual. Sit back, relax, and enjoy as these amateur witches provide you with lots of laughs – and hopefully some learning – along the way.

Charlye — Healer, Baby Pagan, Eclectic Witch.

After a lifetime of not knowing how to classify myself, or what I believed, I finally felt a sense of coming home when I observed my first solitary Samhain ritual in 2017. Since then, I have been devouring every bit of information, and misinformation, I could get my hands on.

Macy — Empath, Health Enthusiast, Earth Witch.

After practicing my first cleansing ritual in 2017 and feeling an overwhelming sense of belonging and power pulse through my body. I, like Charlye, am on a path of exploration. Interested in energies of flora and fauna, I feel very tied to the woods and animals that live within them.

We are both so incredibly proud of what we have made with The Witch Bitch Amateur Hour. We are honored to be a part of this community, and we strive to continue to carry our message of “educate, don’t discriminate” to help people feel welcome and at home in the spiritual community.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
In October of 2019, we performed our first live show at Armadillo Ale Works in Denton for the Pagan Pop Up. Not only was it an absolute joy to bring The Witch Bitch Amateur Hour to a live format, it was just a beautiful day of community, knowledge, and friendly faces. There was a long table up close to the stage that was completely filled with our listeners, some of which had travelled a long way to see us.

They were all chatting together and getting to know each other, and that’s when we realized that the podcast was bigger than just being a weekly audio show. That day we realized that through the podcast, we have steadily built a little community of people that are forging friendships and learning from each other, and that was such a wonderfully proud moment.
