Today we’d like to introduce you to Majisty Dennis.
Majisty, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started miming when I was nine years old. I saw two young ladies at my church in Washington State perform one Sunday. I loved the paint they had on their faces and wanted to learn what they were doing. I started practicing with them and continued to study the mime ministry more intensely. After a while, I started helping teach mime at my church. When my family moved to Texas; my ministry started to grow astronomically. I was traveling and ministering. At the age of sixteen, I started my first successful business Majisty Mime Academy where I teach and train people in the gift, art, and skill of mime. I secured contracts with cities and school districts to teach mime as an afterschool program and to offer classes to the community! I also peened a book to reach more people called Majisty’s Mime Made Easy Re-Loaded to reach more people about mime. Today, I still enjoy miming and reaching others with my ministry. My newest endeavor is transforming my mime program to an online platform that allows people to perfect their mime skills from anywhere in the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a rocky road. My greatest challenge was overcoming a series of health issues back to back. While in college-I experience a retinal detachment (temporary partial vision loss) twice and had to have additional surgery after barely recovering from hernia surgery. It took a toll on me physically and emotionally but I am much stronger now.
Please tell us about Majisty Mime Ministry – what should we know?
I minister through mime and teach mime. I am known for the anointing and maintaining a standard of excellence. I am most proud that my academy makes an unforgettable impact on those who experience it. I am also proud that people experience healing when I mime.
