Today we’d like to introduce you to Mallory Anderson
Mallory, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been fascinated by all things spooky—ghost stories, urban legends, and the eerie tales that send shivers down your spine. But beyond just consuming that content, I wanted to create a space where like-minded people could come together and revel in the weird, the macabre, and the unexplained. That’s how The Ghoul Gang podcast was born.
It’s a passion project—I wanted to share spooky stories and real experiences with friends. With the help of my husband, Jeffrey Anderson, who handles the editing and production, we launched the podcast in October 2023. Our hosts include myself, Mallory Anderson, along with Dani Nichols, Erika Watts, Katie Condry, Kirsten Marzonie, and Shelby McIntyre.
When we first started planning The Ghoul Gang, we knew one thing for sure—we wanted the podcast to feel like sitting around with friends, swapping campfire stories late into the night.
But when it came to choosing a specific topic, we quickly realized we didn’t want to limit ourselves. There’s just so much to explore. From haunted locations and folklore to true crime and cryptids, we cover it all—always with a mix of humor and heart!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but that’s part of the journey. When I first had the idea for The Ghoul Gang, I knew I wanted to bring in friends who shared the same love for all things spooky. When I asked everyone if they wanted to be a part of it, I was shocked when everyone was in. I honestly didn’t expect all six of us to say yes! With busy schedules, work, and some of us being moms, I thought it might be tough to make it work.
Having a bigger group has been both a blessing and a challenge. On one hand, it’s amazing because we all bring different perspectives, experiences, and storytelling styles to the table. On the other hand, scheduling can be tricky with our busy schedules. To make things easier, we decided to separate into smaller groups for recording sessions, which has helped a lot with balancing our time!

The Ghoul Gang is a podcast created by a group of real-life friends who love all things spooky.
What makes us stand out is the genuine friendship and fun we have together. We balance sharing creepy stories with lots of laughs, making our podcast feel like you’re hanging out with friends who love a good ghost tale. One listener shared that tuning in feels like hanging out with friends and that’s exactly what we strive for!
