Meet Marcelo and Roberto Gonzalez of Wash Broz in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcelo and Roberto Gonzalez.

Marcelo and Roberto, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It was rooted in the COVID pandemic because our mom lost her job and we were home all day with nothing to do. We got the idea to start cleaning trash cans just as a summer job to make enough money to pay for the first or second semesters of college. However, as we grew and we started to get more clients, we decided to make it into a company. We never expected that it would get to this point and now we strive to provide an outstanding service to our community, create awareness for the environment, and to create job opportunities for families and people in need. Once we have grown bigger, we want to be able to give out scholarships to help young people like us further their education.

Has it been a smooth road?
In life, there are always obstacles that you have to face and for us one of the challenges is that at the start, we only had one car. Sometimes, we had to pick up our little brothers from school or we had messed up the schedule and scheduled two people at the same time but we could split up to get them done in time. In the end, it always ended up working out and with the help of professionals and our parents, we have been able to get through the hard times. Anyway, we feel very blessed and we’ve learned that you can do whatever you want you just have to go for it and not quit. You always have to take the opportunities that you get and God sent us our blessing in the trash.

Wash Broz – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We initially started just cleaning trash cans but we have now expanded to soft washing and power washing driveways, patios, porches, sidewalks, and pretty much anything that needs power washing. We strive to provide a great service to our community and the fact that we are two young college students working hard to obtain our education. Rising in the face of adversity is what we are most proud of and our attention to detail and great customer support, as well as great service, is what sets us apart.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, the city is a great place because of the huge demand for our services and for the most part, our customers have always been very respectful and you can tell that they just want to help us out. I would recommend new businesses to start here because of the demand and all of the great people.
