Unlike most salon owners, I don’t have a background in beauty. Instead, I had a career in television news where I was spoiled by professional hair and makeup artists every day. So, I decided to open Marbles Makeup and Blowouts as a way to bring that red carpet treatment to everyone, anywhere.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road is rarely smooth for the small business owner! Just getting the word out to the neighborhood about your services can be very challenging, especially when you are up against big-name national brands, with big-name advertising budgets.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Marbles Makeup and Blowouts – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are known for the most glamorous special occasion hair and makeup in North Texas, especially for brides. Professional makeup can sometimes feel like “too much” or unnatural, but our goal is to make each client feel like the best version of themselves. Just last week, I received an email from a client calling our work “STUPENDOUS”! I’m so proud of that feedback.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
