Mardi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Girl… I am real. A woman with a hectic life just like you. I have opinions, love to travel and a bit adventurous and I embrace the beauty of my curves.
I believe in diversity in ethnic backgrounds, education levels and economic groups is important. I believe in my purpose, my mission of empowering voluptuous, queenly endowed women to aspire to live their very best life.
With my very own brand of unique bold style that fits my “over the top” & “in your face” personality, my busy lifestyles and child my often times strained bank account I challenge myself to push the limits of my own personal comfort. Oh but that’s not all because as a confident, capable and fabulously fluffy woman, who is defiant in my rebellion to conformity, I refuse to be a stereotype, to be boring, basic or ordinary and with these tools on my life journey to aspire to inspire others.
I’m committed to meet the needs of all my “curvy cuties” with style tips, hints and budget smart advice that will reform and define their personal style one look at a time. I have worked tirelessly to promote the plus-size women, models and advocate on behalf of positive body images since I was a teen. I have branched out into commercial acting, writing, producing and co-hosing the award winning Internet Radio Show Simply Raw Radio, formerly airing Monday’ nights on www.thaafterpaty.com and now my newest ventures, photography, wardrobe styling and my new show The Adventures Of A Fat Girl Podcast coming soon to High Vibe Media Group.
I am also a Brand Ambassador for the Ashley Stewart Clothing Brand and Diva J’s Closet
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
They are and will always be obstacles in life. When you really have passion you push through those hurdles because the breakthrough is always outside of your comfort zone.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with This Fat Girl Is Fabulous – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I DO it all! I’m a model, stylist, host, bloggers, creative and that’s just the icing on the cake.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan is to keep living, and loving life! It only gets better from here.
