Today we’d like to introduce you to Marisha Mitchell.

Marisha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Well, I originally started off doing hair, I would literally do hair every day from 7 am-4 am sometimes in my mom’s living room. I got pregnant with my first kid and had to slow down so I started doing sew-ins only. I was one of the few around East Texas that was performing that service for a little while. One day, a client came to me with some terrible, terrible hair from one of the beauty supply stores so I started doing my research on raw hair extensions. I hit the jackpot when I discovered what I offer now. I had to go through all of the bad to get to the good. I went so far as to travel to find the RIGHT vendor for my products. I would go out to eat and shopping and everyone from all different ethnicities would compliment my extensions, so I put myself out there and started offering it to everyone. I’ve been selling hair extensions for about seven years now and I must admit, it’s been challenging with it being so many of us with great hair around, but I make it work for me. I recently renovated for a hair-tique (hair and clothing) store for my community and I pray that it will become a place full of love, laughter and success for me.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely has not been smooth.

Like I stated before, it’s so many people supplying the same thing as me for a cheaper price, most people will certainly look over the quality. Opening up my store has been a hassle also having to figure it out myself as far as finances and balancing my three small kids, all while trying to run the business as smooth as possible.

Weave Got it Hair Company provides quality raw hair extensions. We are known for our longevity of the hair. All of our textures may be colored and straightened without damaging the cuticle of the hairs. I’m proud to be the owner of this company because even though I feel it could be better, everyone knows where to find the best hair around.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Once I have made up my mind, the goal is to commit and execute.
