Today we’d like to introduce you to Marissa Morgan.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Marissa. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I work in senior management in sales and marketing for a major global corporation by day and in all the other spare time I can find in a day, I am working on building my own personal brand or establishing client’s brands. I am a marketer at heart and I flourish when I find myself in challenges that enable me to create innovative ways to make brands stand out and change the status quo. I the meantime, I work for a major corporation to finance my much necessary bills and lifestyle, but I work as a freelancer to accomplish dreams I’ve always thought were MUCH bigger than myself.
At a very early age, and from the wise words of Lisa Rinna, I knew I was “much too fabulous for the life I was born into”. It was from this moment forward that I knew that no matter what it took, I was going to create a big, bold, and fabulous life for myself.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Another day, another struggle, am I right? I am a current 24 years old trying to master how to afford my expensive taste and exuberant life and style. So yeah, you could say that every day can be a struggle. Complacency is not and will never be in my nature. I am never going to be contempt with living a modest life and for that reason, I believe every day will bring forth its own challenges. But don’t get me wrong, challenges may just excite me the most in life.
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about you and your career so far?
I am an aspiring entrepreneur of many hats. At the moment, I am most passionate in fitness and monetizing a fitness empire. I have worked in various modeling and acting roles and aspire to take this craft further and become more knowledgeable in the arts and in my own talents. Recently, I have been a part of a national television show and I hope to take my acting career further when it airs.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I have always been a fiercely competitive person, especially as a child. I think my favorite childhood memories involve my accomplishments in sports. In particular, in high school I remember spending a full year praying that I would make the cheerleading team. Every day after school, I would come home and practice in my room. Whether I would stretch for hours, practice jumps with ankle weights (these hurt like a b*tch), or go in my backyard and force myself to try new backflips, I would punish myself until I became better. After a year of waiting for tryouts to come around, I made the cheer team. Then another three years of yearning went by where all I wanted was to be THE senior varsity cheer captain. I took the similar approach of pushing myself to be the absolute best I could be every day until finally captain tryouts took place. My favorite childhood memory going into my senior year of high school took place when I found out that I was the new varsity cheerleader captain. This was one of the first testaments to myself that I proved if I worked endlessly and wanted something more than anyone else, that I was going to end up getting my way no matter what. This ideology has not failed me yet.
