Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Stephenson.
Mark, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
F1 Consultancy was founded in the UK in 1993. I had worked in the I.T industry since 1988 in a technical capacity and decided it was time to start something for my future. I was 25 after all 🙂
In 2008, we opened our first office in the USA! An office in Redmond, Washington.
In 2014, we opened a second office in Redmond and most recently in 2016 we opened an office in Dallas, Texas.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been an interesting journey!
Two economic meltdowns in 1993 (the year we started!) and then the big one in 2008!
Working in an ever changing fast paced industry has its challenges too, we have to keep up or we no longer exist.
Please tell us about F1 Consultancy.
We are known for our superb temporary wired and wireless networks! These are mainly used in the events industry.
We can install a reliable and fast network in the most obscure places on the planet and keep it working for the duration of your event.
Next year (2018) we will be 25 years old, that makes me extremely proud.
Without doubt our people are our strength and are what sets us apart.
Anyone can gain understanding and knowledge but not everyone can understand team work and the values we have here to treat everyone how we would want to be treated ourselves.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Spending time with my Dad.
