Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Moemeka.
Angela, before we jump into specific questions about your practice, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always wanted to own a pediatric practice. I love working with children and enjoyed science and math in school, so becoming a pediatrician was a natural choice for me. After medical school and residency, I worked in different aspects of medicine including private practice, community clinics, teaching, and executive leadership. My desire to open a practice stayed on my mind through the years. I spent the last year planning, developing and launching my practice Mark9 Pediatrics. It finally opened on Nov 4th, 2019. It’s been a wonderful blessing to see it blossom.
Has it been a smooth road?
The ups and downs of my career have all made me the person I am today. While medical school and residency were physically and mentally difficult, the experience taught me to be a strong and dedicated pediatrician. Throughout my career in medicine, I’ve gathered skills and taken advantage of opportunities that helped me become a well-rounded and resilient person and physician.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Mark9 Pediatrics – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Mark9 Pediatrics is a general pediatric practice. Dr. Angela Moemeka is the solo pediatrician and owner of the practice. We are a safe place where children can grow and thrive. We come alongside families to help kids become their healthiest selves. Our motto is “making healthy easy” because we believe in partnering with families and our community to surround children with the supports they need to become strong, resilient and healthy adults. Our practice offers 24-hour care through office visits, telemedicine, home visits and telephonic advice. Families can book appointments online through our website, and also ask questions of the practice in this way. We provide compassionate, comprehensive and accessible care.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the culture of Dallas. I moved here from New England five years ago and have enjoyed the transition. I’m still adjusting to the heat of July!!
