Meet Maschera Loose of LooseLocs LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maschera Loose.

Hi Maschera, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My career as a hairstylist spans more than 20 years and began with a defining investment in my potential. Early on, my grandfather made me a promise — if I committed to my education, earned my license, and passed my boards, he would support me fully. I honored that promise, and it laid the foundation for a career built on discipline, integrity, and excellence.

I began my professional journey in the DFW market at Supercuts, where I developed technical precision and a strong understanding of the business of beauty. As my career progressed, I moved into leadership roles, managing salons, interviewing and pre-training stylists across the DFW area, and consistently driving monthly revenue growth of $10,000 or more. These formative years shaped both my artistry and my strategic approach to building high-performing salons.

Today, I work behind the chair every day, specializing in high-contrast blonding and luxury extension services. My work is rooted in precision, customization, and hair integrity, delivering elevated, transformative results through a refined, high-touch experience. What began as a foundation in discipline has evolved into a brand defined by craftsmanship, intention, and timeless luxury — with a singular focus on helping women feel confident, beautiful, and exceptionally cared for.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been smooth, but every challenge has been formative. Like many in this industry, I navigated long hours, physical demands, and the pressure of constantly evolving standards early in my career. Stepping into leadership added another layer — balancing creativity with performance, team development, and business growth required a steep learning curve.

There were moments of burnout, reinvention, and necessary risk-taking, but each challenge refined my vision and strengthened my discipline. Those experiences taught me how to build sustainable success, protect my creativity, and create a work environment rooted in intention rather than urgency.

Today, those lessons inform everything I do — from how I care for my clients to how I structure my business. The challenges didn’t slow me down; they sharpened my focus and ultimately allowed me to create the level of excellence and luxury I offer now.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is built around offering a refined, luxury hair experience that prioritizes artistry, customization, and trust. I specialize in high-contrast blonding and premium extension services, with a strong focus on hair integrity and long-term results. Every service is intentionally designed — from the consultation to the final style — to feel elevated, personalized, and seamless.

What sets my brand apart is the balance between precision and care. With over 20 years in the industry and a background in salon leadership and training, I bring both technical mastery and strategic expertise to every client interaction. I’m known for creating transformative yet wearable results while maintaining the health of the hair, which is especially important in luxury blonding and extensions.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the environment I’ve created. My space is calm, welcoming, and intentionally curated to feel more like a retreat than a traditional salon. Clients aren’t rushed, overbooked, or treated as transactions — they’re cared for with attention, honesty, and respect.

I want readers to know that my brand is rooted in craftsmanship, consistency, and connection. This isn’t trend-driven work or one-size-fits-all beauty. It’s thoughtful, high-touch service designed for women who value quality, expertise, and an experience that feels just as luxurious as the results.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice is to lead with curiosity and humility. The most impactful mentors often come from observing people whose work, discipline, and values you genuinely respect, rather than forcing a formal mentor relationship. Some of the best guidance I’ve received came from simply being present, asking thoughtful questions, and consistently showing up prepared and reliable.

Networking, for me, has always been rooted in authenticity and excellence. I focused on doing my work at a high level, maintaining integrity, and building trust — those qualities naturally attract the right people. Being dependable, open to feedback, and willing to contribute creates long-term professional relationships that are far more valuable than surface-level connections.

What has worked best for me is understanding that mentorship evolves. Early in my career, I learned from leaders who taught me structure and discipline. Later, I sought out peers and educators who challenged my artistry and vision. Growth comes from staying teachable, protecting your standards, and surrounding yourself with people who elevate both your work and your mindset.
