Today we’d like to introduce you to Maurice Perry.
Maurice, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well first of all I have always been a little intrigued by how people get insurance claims settlements for having injuries. So back in the early 1990s, I attended Leonard’s training programs to get my insurance claims adjuster training and state of Texas Insurance adjusters Licence. Upon completing the training, it took me about a year before I landed an insurance adjusters job with AIG Insurance claims in Downtown Dallas, I was just very fortunate that I landed a job with the largest writer of workers compensation claims in that era. And at that time AIG was a very big deal in the world of Workers Compensation Insurance claims. They also had landed the account to be the Workers Compensation Insurance carrier for Walmart stores in Texas before. This huge conglomerate became self-insured.
I spent many years horning my skills and becoming a professional expert Workers Compensation Insurance claims adjuster, the training that I received it’s priceless, because of this training and this unique skillset has opened up a broader horizon and so many other opportunities in healthcare working with health care providers that treat work injuries. When I left the insurance world in the early 2000s and started working as a temp workers compensation insurance adjuster with various different insurance companies, I was without a new assignment and a friend asked me to help out this work injury Rehabilitation medical center because the Doctor was not getting paid on the majority of the claims for treating these work injury patients, and she recommended that I take a look at the situation to see if there was something I could do to fix the situation.
I took a look at the situation and called a few of the insurance adjusters that were working on some of these workers compensation Healthcare claims that was submitted by the treating doctor, and learned he had been using the wrong medical coding on a vast majority of the claims, they were submitting to the worker’s compensation insurance companies. One of my crowning moments from working on this assignment was when the president of this worker’s compensation Rehab Medical Clinic and myself were allowed to pick up one of the checks that he had been trying to get paid on for over six months.
I told the worker’s compensation adjuster that worked on that Insurance claim that the doctor was about to have his lights and utilities disconnected because we desperately needed that check that the clinic was trying to collect, and I asked can we come and pick that check-up because when insurance companies are late on occasion sending out a worker’s comp checks they allowed back then the injured worker to actually come and pick up the check from the insurance company.
So we were allowed to go and pick up this check at this insurance company, and on the elevator ride up to the floor to pick up the check the president of the rehab workers compensation Healthcare Clinic that I was working at told me that if they actually give us a check, I am the new savior for people having Workers Compensation Insurance problems. So we get off the elevator and walk up to the receptionist’s desk pick up the envelope and get back on the elevator and I open the envelope and to my surprise, there was a check for the amount of $7500.
The President of the company high five me on the elevator and told me he was astonished that I was so good at being a professional workers compensation insurance adjuster, and asked me if I could talk to and speak with some of the patients that were not receiving their worker’s compensation benefits, to see if there was something that I could do to help them get their benefits. This is how I became the P Diddy of workers compensation Healthcare claims,and my career started to take off like a rocket because that Doctor and president of that rehab company told other doctors about me and my services.
I ultimately found a healthcare provider that actually did their own TV Clinic Workers Compensation Insurance commercials, and this Doctor recommended rather than them using their ideal why don’t I come up with a new idea for the TV ad. And he also wanted to try radio advertising for the first time. So I was delegated the monumental task of brainstorming coming up with a perfect radio ideal that would get the phone ringing, and through my hard work I came up with this idea that changed my life, because the cliche that I ended up using is priceless, and everyone in the DFW North Texas area knows this cliche, and what that cliche is? “If you have been injured at work call me first to get Your Check Started Today Not Tomorrow “. When I first came up with this ideal my account executive at the radio station recommended that I form an advertising agency because she would be able to get me clients through the radio station that had very boring radio advertisements. This is how I ended up becoming the P Diddy of Workers Compensation Healthcare injury claims in the DFW North Texas area everyone has heard me on the radio or has seen my TV advertisements.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was a smooth road at first from the early 2000s to around 2006 when Texas worker’s compensation rules and laws started to change, with more insurance companies creating these Healthcare networks that eliminated Injured Workers from being able to go to a doctor of their choice.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I honestly believe that luck has nothing to do with the reason I am where I am today, I truly believe that God had this planned for me and that I was not aware that my life would take several highs and lows for me to become the business person that I have become today. The untimely death of my only son my 20-year-old son made life have a whole new perspective because it made me aware that life is very short, and that if you have formed a very good business plan you should act upon that business plan ideal and not just talk about it without action and doing.
So January 24th, 2020 Claims Analysis Health Care Management Group was launched to help change the way workers compensation Healthcare claims are handled on the healthcare side. And Luck had nothing to do with this in my opinion it was only because of God giving me experiences and learning curves to be more professional more creative and creating a company that’s Cutting Edge in the Health Care Management Group industry.
