Today we’d like to introduce you to Max Khetpachernchai.
Max, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Does this sound familiar to you? Go to college, get a degree, climb the corporate ladder, and have a career. That’s what I did. That’s what I was told to do my entire life. However, none of that was fulfilling. The one thing that has always remained constant in my life was fitness. I worked out as a kid to get better at the sport. I worked out as a young adult for vanity reasons. Now, I work out to be a healthy role model for my family and my community.
I started as a personal trainer in 2006 as a part-time job. I instantly fell in love with it. I knew right away where my passion lies. It would take me five more years to take the plunge and started to train full time. It would take me another five years to establish my brick and mortar location, The Fitsmith, in 2015. The road wasn’t always pretty, but at the end of each day, I was proud of my job. I look forward to seeing my clients every day. Their progress always adds to my life.
Has it been a smooth road?
If you don’t struggle in your life, then you’re probably not doing it right! I still fail to this day. Failing gets a bad rap, but I think it’s a tool for growth, personally and professionally. Sure, there are things I’d love to take back and do-over. But we can’t. Learn from it and GROW!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The fitness industry is always changing. The main reason for this is because people are always looking for a new quick fix, and the fitness industry knows how to capitalize on this. Think about how many keto products are on the market right now. These products didn’t even exist five years ago. I believe the trend will start shifting towards a vegan/vegetarian diet and carnivore diet over the next few years. There will be more tech, gadgets, and more wearables as technology advances. You’ll also see more in-home technology for workouts and nutrition.
