Meet Meagan Rodriguez of Refine Medical Spa in Southlake

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Rodriguez.

Meagan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After an unfulfilling decade as an Accountant, my husband, Calvin encouraged me to pursue my passion for skin. I enrolled in Advanced Aesthetics at Duvall’s School of Cosmetology. I excelled academically under the incredible instruction taught by Kim Duckworth. I even earned a perfect score on my State Board Written Exam and a 94% on the Practical Exam. After graduation, I continued my education by taking an IPL course and enrolling in Laser School at Balch Wellness with Donna Bader. I have worked in multiple Med Spa’s in the Colleyville/Southlake area, but when I landed the position at Refine my prayers were answered. Refine Med Spa is the number one Med Spa in Tarrant County year after year. I have state of the art equipment and unlimited continuing education at my disposal. The absolute best part of working for Refine Med Spa is the fact that integrity is at the forefront of everything we do. There are no shortcuts taken here. We are by the book when it comes to sanitation, protocol and procedures. Our injectors are both Medical Professionals, a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. We have our NP on site every day. Our Spa Director is experienced and well versed in this industry. Our Medical Director is a world renowned Plastic Surgeon. Our Spa Liaison is also no stranger to the Medical field and Spa world. The owner is constantly approving new services to add to our menu and makes sure we are all thoroughly trained. I have worked in some less than savory Med Spa’s and this one has integrity.

Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle is the work/life balance. Working in the service industry means you accommodate clients with late or weekend appointments. I was accustomed to a 9:00-5:00 beforehand and now I work later hours and weekends to ensure I am available for my clients. This adjustment was easy because I love what I do, who I do it on and who I do it for. It’s true: when you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life.

We’d love to hear more about your practice.
The thing that sets Refine apart from all the other Med Spa’s in the area is our injectors are actual Medical Professionals. Collin is our Nurse Practitioner and is on site all day, every day. Tia is our Registered Nurse who is finishing her Nurse Practitioner by this May. Both of our amazing injectors do nothing but injectables all day. Refine employs overly qualified and experienced providers to exceed our client’s expectations. As a company, Refine is proud of our customer loyalty and our 97% customer retention rate. We are thrilled to be named the Best Med Spa in Tarrant County again for 2020. I am known for results oriented skin care. I conduct a thorough skin analysis for every client where we discuss concerns and propose treatment options specific to their goals, lifestyle and budget. I have a slight obsession with extractions, milia removal and nostril waxing. My daily schedule consists of chemical peels, IPL, Laser Hair Removal, Hydrafacials, Dermaplaning, Microneedling with SkinPen and Resurfx, a fractionated laser treatment.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Dallas-Fort Worth is a melting pot of culture and diversity. I am proud to be amongst the friendliest and most neighborly state. I love all of our local sports teams, especially the Texas Rangers. I love all the history and museums DFW offers and of course the Fort Worth Stockyards. We have two incredible zoos, two airports and some of the best dining available. I love everything about DFW. I’m born and raised here. I grew up in Flower Mound and as an adult reside in Colleyville and work in Southlake.
