Meet Meenakshi Vatsa of MV Dezine Group LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meenakshi Vatsa

Hi Meenakshi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
From a young age, I was passionate about creating and building things from scratch. I had a keen eye for details and design, which led me to pursue architecture. In 2008, I began my journey as an architect, fully immersed in a profession I loved. For years, I worked with multiple companies, designing spaces and bringing their visions to life. But deep down, I had a dream of my own—a dream to build something where I could help people transform their houses into homes, making them aesthetically beautiful and functionally seamless.

When I had my kids, I took a break from full-time work, but my passion for design never faded. I spent those years researching design trends, exploring new ideas, and working remotely with my team in India. As soon as I found time for myself, I took the first step toward turning my dream into reality.

My first project came from a friend who had always believed in my design skills, long before I even started my business. It was a small interior project for her home, but I poured my heart and soul into it. The results were amazing, and from there, word-of-mouth began to spread. I never relied on advertising—my work spoke for itself. Clients came to me because they had seen or heard about my designs firsthand, and that organic growth has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, the journey wasn’t without challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was finding the right team—contractors who were not only skilled but also shared my dedication to quality and craftsmanship. In this industry, professionalism and attention to detail matter immensely, and I took my time handpicking a team that met my high standards. Today, I am proud to work with a team who create timeless designs with fine craftsmanship and a commitment to excellence.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about mv dezine group llc?
Being an architect has given me a strong foundation in my interior design and construction business. Whether I’m designing a small custom cabinet, remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, or working on a full-scale home transformation, I approach every project with the same level of detail and dedication. I make sure my clients are involved in every step of the process, ensuring that their vision and requirements are met with precision.

One thing I strongly believe in is that great design should be accessible to everyone. Budget is never a constraint for me—I have worked on projects of all scales, from small-budget transformations to high-end luxury designs. My goal is to make every space I touch classic, beautiful, and timeless, no matter the budget.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that client satisfaction is everything. Money should never be the driving force—creating exceptional work should be. When clients trust me with their homes and feel joy in the final outcome, that is my greatest reward. Today, I am proud to have built a long list of happy clients, many of whom have become lifelong friends.

Looking back, I’m grateful for every step that brought me here. Every challenge, every project, and every happy client has shaped my journey. And as I move forward, my focus remains the same—to keep designing, keep building, and keep making homes that people love to live in.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck: A Silent Partner in My Journey

Luck, both good and bad, has been like an unseen architect in my life—sometimes laying out smooth blueprints, other times throwing in unexpected design flaws.

Good luck has walked in like a surprise client—introducing me to people who believed in my work, bringing me projects at just the right time, and making sure my passion found its place in the world. It was good luck that my first project came from a friend who trusted my skills even before I officially started my business. And it was luck that sent happy clients my way, spreading the word about my work without me ever having to advertise.

But bad luck? Oh, it has played its role too. It came disguised as unreliable contractors, misjudged timelines, and those days when things just wouldn’t go right no matter how well I planned. It tested my patience, my problem-solving skills, and my resilience. But looking back, I see that every “bad luck” moment was just a hidden lesson, pushing me to refine my craft, handpick the best people, and build something stronger.

So, if luck were a design element in my life, I’d say it has been the perfect mix of controlled structure and unexpected accents—sometimes making the process frustrating, but always adding character to the final masterpiece. In the end, I believe luck only opens doors. It’s hard work, persistence, and passion that decide how beautifully you step through them.
