Melissa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The message our young girls are fed about the importance of outward beauty led me to start my costumed character business, Royally Fun Parties. Using the platform of being dressed as children’s favorite characters at birthday parties and other events, we are able to speak truth into their hearts and teach them the invaluable lesson that it’s the beauty inside that matters most. We use the Biblical Fruits of the Spirit as examples of inner beauty qualities.
My love for singing Disney songs and making children feel special has made this job a dream come true. I started out doing all the parties myself, until I became too busy to handle them all, then I began building my team of performers. We now have 20 regular performers and entertain at about 20-30 parties per month and reached this level at less than 3 years in business.
I attribute all of our success to our Heavenly Father, who has blessed us beyond what we could ever hope or imagine.
Has it been a smooth road?
Honestly, the road has been much smoother than I expected! The biggest challenge has just been keeping up with the demand, while homeschooling my kids and handling other mom-wife responsibilities.

We are known for our top-rated singing talent, park quality costumes, and our genuine love for children. We have the highest standards for excellence, integrity, and dependability, and of the 600+ parties and events we’ve booked, we’ve never had to cancel or reschedule a customer.
We handle all of the children’s entertainment for the event or birthday party. The princess arrives with her own music playing, leads the kids in themed activities and games, sings a song, reads them a story, poses for pictures, and leads a special coronation ceremony for the birthday girl. She may even face paint, do makeovers, or bring a craft, depending on what options the customer selects.
We also make character phone calls or personalized character video messages upon request! What better way to announce your trip to Disney than by an appearance or video message from your child’s favorite character!

The Dallas/Fort Worth area is the friendliest place on Earth. I’m honored to do business here with so many sweet families. Seeing the importance parents and grandparents place on celebrating their little ones brings me so much joy.
