Hi Melissa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Founding Melissa Trivette Interiors was an interesting twist of fate. I worked in global marketing roles for 15 years until I was laid off during the pandemic (while still on maternity leave). I had always loved interior design, and decided this was an opportunity for me to pursue a career I was passionate about that also enabled me to serve my family better.
After I founded Melissa Trivette Interiors, I began learning there are many products in our homes that can negatively impact our health. Formaldehyde in manufactured woods, forever chemicals in stain repellant fabrics, and microplastics in synthetic textiles. I saw an opportunity to educate my clients about the benefits of incorporating a wellness-centered approach when designing their homes.
We specialize in designing beautiful homes that prioritize wellness and functionality. In addition to creating bespoke designs for clients, our unique expertise brings a turn-key process and project management excellence to the client experience.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When founding Melissa Trivette Interiors, I leveraged my business experience to implement clear process, communication, and project management from the beginning. Over the past five years we are proud to have grown our firm primarily through repeat business and referrals from happy clients and industry partners.
In 2025-2026 we relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Southlake, TX, and changed our company name and branding to better align with our goals and values. It’s been a bit like starting over this past year, however, we’re excited to continue building relationships and serving the DFW community.
We’ve been impressed with Melissa Trivette Interiors, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Melissa Trivette Interiors is a full-service, residential interior design firm in Southlake, TX. We serve the Dallas-Fort Worth area designing natural, functional, wellness-centered spaces. In addition to furnishing homes, we also offer design selections for both renovations and new construction.
