Floating in DFW was created in 2015 when my husband and his friend envisioned sharing our boating lifestyle and experiences with others. We realized how lucky we were to be able to travel to different lakes, spending our time relaxing and having fun on the water. It was a staycation, our getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and we loved it.
We began to wonder why more people didn’t participate. We realized some misconceptions about boating prevented people from having the lake life experience, so we introduced a worry-free, personalized boating experience to the public. As our business grew, we connected with other like-minded boating enthusiasts and developed our core boat club.
What started with just boats has evolved into a full lake lifestyle club. We now offer boats, RVs, Sprinters, Can-Ams, and numerous options to accommodate the lake lifestyle you desire on any given day. Our fleet comprises pontoons, fishing boats, and jet boats for water sports.
Floating in DFW does not stop at boat charters; we also offer RV rentals for tailgates and campsite events. Additionally, we provide a space on the water for dinner, birthday parties, theme nights (e.g., paint and sip, hibachi night), brunch, yoga, sunrise, sunsets, and more. You name it, and we can make it happen.
In addition to RVs and boats, Floating in DFW has also added a luxury transportation service. We offer two 6+ passenger Mercedes Sprinters for corporate events, brunch, airport pickups/drop-offs, family vacations, and various other transportation services.
We have mastered the art of the lake lifestyle and can bring the full lake life experience to our guests for a fraction of the cost of owning and operating a boat, RV, or Sprinter. Most importantly, we love what we do and are passionate about the experiences we have and the memories we make.

Absolutely not. Being taken seriously as a professional company has been challenging, especially since the lake lifestyle is often associated with a party environment.
Additionally, breaking down barriers of diversity and staying ahead of the crowd have been significant hurdles. After a while, the “party-on-a-boat concept” can start to feel repetitive, so we’ve had to innovate constantly to offer unique and diverse experiences.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
We have worked hard to ensure our brand is not known solely for partying on one lake or simple tie-ups. We strive to add an aesthetic touch to the lake lifestyle experience and develop a strong presence for corporate events.
By offering various personalized services and unique experiences, we distinguish ourselves from the typical boating party scene and provide a more refined and versatile lake life experience.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson we’ve learned is to stand out and be our individual selves.
It’s crucial never to box ourselves in and always leave the door open for additional opportunities. Our company started in one industry but has become popular in multiple industries. You have to remain open-minded and adaptable.
Also, ensure your prices are competitive, and you value your service enough to charge the correct price. Remember, business is a transaction. While offering something for free can be tempting, continuously giving away services may ultimately be detrimental to your business.
