Miata Miles was born and raised in Dallas, Tx. Miata has a Master’s Degree and is currently employed as a Mental Health Professional. In 2020, Miata decided to venture off into new hobbies…Candle Making! Through research and literature, Miata created a recipe that had to be shared. The motivation behind my brand and logo speaks to moving across the country from my home, but “Miles” is also my last name. With support and encouragement from my Husband, Family, and Friends…I can take my love for candle-making even further. #ScentsforMiles currently has over 20 Candle Fragrances, Bath Salts, and Hand Soaps. All products are made with love and all-natural ingredients that supports self-care, health, & wellness. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Entrepreneurship is a roller coaster ride; some weeks are definitely better than others. Challenges would include keeping up with Social Media trends to stay appealing to your audience. It has been financially challenging as well to keep up with expenses, materials, and pricing for products. What has been most helpful to me is networking and mentorship.

Professionally I am a full-time Mental Health Provider. Scents For Miles was established in 2020. My products are special because they are all handmade and poured by me. Each fragrance is selected carefully and tested before launching.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
With support and encouragement from my Husband, Family, and Friends my business continues to thrive. While participating in events, I make it a point to network with Hosts and other vendors for feedback.
