Thanks for sharing your story with us Michael. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started Christian veteran movers with my business partner Rene Mercedes. We both were looking for employment in different Fields and decided one day to start our own business but put a twist on it. We both have family and friends who served in the military and noticed how hard it was for them to get a job when returning home. So we decided we will give all veterans a job with our company and that’s how started off.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like in any business you have your ups and downs but we have had way more ups than downs. Every day I wake up and thank the Lord that I have a job that I love but also I can provide someone else with an opportunity.
Please tell us about Christian Veteran Movers.
Christian veteran movers is a moving and packing service. We offer way more than just that but that’s the foundation our company was built on. We are proud to be offering jobs to veterans and Church members and really anyone with a strong work ethic. We are different from other moving companies because we go the extra mile on all our jobs and we never say no to a client.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory as a child would be going apple picking in the fall with my family. The bond and quality time we spent together upstate New York was amazing and all the apple doughnuts was great too.
