Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael McCoy.
Michael, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Started in 2011 working for Coca-Cola as a syrup technician. I always loved the new technology and I started to mount TVs. So I would do that part-time just as a side hustle. But realized hey, I really love doing this and how good I am doing it. But at that time it wasn’t enough to pay the bills. So kinda just did it here and there.
So I begin to understand that it was much more to the A/V (audio-video) world than just mounting TVs so by 2014 I realize that I could be making a lot more money with this because of all the knowledge I’ve obtained over the last 3yrs 2011-2014 understanding new construction pre wires whole home automation etc. So to make a long story short, we are now one of the known AV companies in the whole DFW.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not a smooth road. It was times I wanted to quit. Based on the amount of volume I would get. I would say to myself is it worth it. You put so much time effort and money into perfecting your craft which is your profession and you hit bumps in the road. That’s what gave me the drive to continue. The adversities.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with M&M Audio Video – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are certified Home Theater residential and commercial company. We provide everything From The design and installation of media room churches conference rooms and offices. We specialize in whole-home media installations and Home Automation.
We are known for our Clients First Needs. It’s not about what we want as the company; it’s about how you want and how can we get what you want done. As a company, we are most proud of how far The Lord has brought us from one call a month to almost 8-9 calls a day. And that we maintain our 5-star rating in customer service.
What sets us apart from other company’s is that we are customers first we are not salesman we try and educate all of our clients new or old based on what they want vs. the needs. And how to be cost-effective.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Well, our plans for the future is to take the blessings that God gives us in the way that we can. Of course, we would like to get company trucks and to someday have us an office built were our clients could come in and build there residential or commercial installation with us. As for now, no big changes except keeping up with technology do that we can continue to provide the latest and greatest.
